Hi Everyone! I want to thank you for visiting my website and I hope you enjoy browsing the site. Whether you are a client, photographer or just surfing, I hope you find something here that is interesting or educational. If you don't find what you need, please feel free to contact me.
I have always loved the outdoors, the natural world and travel. I grew up mostly in rural Pennsylvania and the memories of the wide open outdoors and nature connect me with happy times. I have been fortunate to travel and live in places such as Germany, England, California, Hawaii, Mexico, and Jamaica. The unique differences in places I have encountered in my travels has been exciting. I only wish that photography had been my hobby then!
My passion for photography actually began because of a disability from an accident. In 2003, I suffered a bad back injury while working as a Paramedic that left me at home on disability for a bit over a year. I had a film camera then and I was lucky enough to live on several acres of rural nature where I had planted many flowers and trees. My desire to capture what I had accomplished quickly turned into a desire to capture what nature accomplishes.
I could not help but notice the intricate and tiny magical world of plant life. I started to photograph those forms and details, attempting to capture the beauty that I saw. My film attempts quickly gave way to digital as I continued to experiment, practice and learn. Over the years, I have tried my hand at different subject matter such as macro, abstract, animals and wildlife, automobiles and vintage type images.
I decided to go public with my work in 2012 by creating a gallery on Fine Art America as well as establishing a presence on many social media sites. Not long after, I dabbled in portraiture and worked for a portrait studio for a year as well doing my own freelance sessions. While I enjoyed it, I realized my true fascination with and love of nature was my greater calling.
I spent the first half of 2015 traveling (RVing) and capturing the immense and beautiful variety of nature and landscapes from coast to coast. I have traveled from the National Forests and beaches in Florida, across the southern states to Arizona. Photographing vastly different landscapes and light is challenging and exciting. I am currently living, sticks and bricks style, in Central Texas working on some career needs and as well as working on my photography from my travels.
